Gems of American Architecture

Gems of American Architecture by William Royal Geer, embellishments by Charles E. Calder, 1935

Piece was apparently done as a give-a-way and advertisement of humor. Originals are still commonly available on eBay and Amazon. Although this piece was created as a catalog to sell the plans for the outhouses including the price, the pun in the use of L.A.Vitorie is an indication of how serious this piece took itself.

However, as a document to record a now almost lost American Architecture, this is a wonderful document of the style and variety of outhouses people used.
